The San Diego Melodic Metal Band Flesh Cyborg was formed at the end of 2024 when two instructors from the School of Rock Otay Ranch decided to collaborate with two students from the same institution. The objective was to create a heavy, groovy riff melodic metal band characterized by creative drums, technical bass, and three melodic harmonized guitars featuring cool leads, as well as clean and guttural vocals. Lead guitarist and vocalist Jonathan Cuervo, along with drummer Vincent Leaf, joined forces with lead guitarist Thomas Fuenzalida and Leonardo Cervantes. The underlying philosophy of Flesh Cyborg posits that the future lies in the integration of artificial intelligence technology with organic life, encompassing various themes such as alien lore and recent scientific discoveries. The band is currently engaged in recording their debut album, titled Quantum Teleportation, at the School of Rock Otay Ranch. This album will be released progressively, with one single debuting at a time, commencing in April 2025.
